I’m a legal professional with a background in higher education who, after several years in private law practice, decided to integrate my interest in the law with my passion for working with students. I teach Legal Communication & Research for first-year Law students, as well as Legal Writing for International Students.
I have a particular interest in law schools and legal education, and specifically in law student well-being and professional identity formation.
I previously served as the Director of Student Affairs at Syracuse University College of Law. I have also worked with the College of Law’s international programs as the Director of LL.M. Student Support. Prior to my work with the College of Law’s international programs, I served J.D. and international students in the professional development arena.
Before moving into administration, I taught legal research & writing to 1Ls at Coll. of Law. I have legal practice experience as an associate attorney for law firms in Syracuse, NY, and Idaho Falls, ID, where I focused my practice in the areas of corporate, real estate, & construction law.
I’m a member of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), American Bar Association (ABA), and Central New York Women’s Bar Association (CNYWBA). Admitted to practice law in New York (active); Iowa & Idaho (affiliate).

Responsible for the conception, development, implementation, and evaluation of a professional development program for students at Syracuse University College of Law; • Guided law student body population to focus on early career readiness, encouraging and providing students with opportunities to enhance their professional personas and understand what it takes to compete in the rapidly-evolving legal marketplace; Developed and implemented a comprehensive professionalism series for first-year law students, including weekly workshops offering students informative insights and tools to help them succeed in law school, develop their professional personas, and enhance their career opportunities; Conceptualized and implemented programming for second- and third-year law students, with a focus on encouraging upperclass students to build their professional portfolios and undertake experiences that will best prepare them to transition from law student to lawyer; Worked with 1L student leaders to create College of Law chapter of Toastmasters International.

Legal Writing Professor
Taught two sections of Legal Communication & Research (LCR), a mandatory year-long course that introduces first-year law students to the fundamentals of legal analysis, writing, and research; Prepared lectures aimed at teaching students principles of effective legal communication; Graded assignments and provided students constructive feedback on written work.

Taught Legal Writing for International Students, a course designed to give international non-J.D. students practical experience with writing for an American legal audience; Oversaw all aspects of the student experience for international Master of Laws (LL.M.) students at the College of Law; Advised LL.M. students regarding course selection and registration and provided students with ongoing academic advising and support; Provided LL.M. students with career advising and support, including resume review and international and domestic job search resources; Advised LL.M. student population on bar exam requirements and recommend resources for bar exam success; Supervised seven J.D. students in their roles of tutoring, mentoring, and integrating LL.M. student population into the law school and larger Syracuse communities; Developed and implemented weekly program series for international LL.M. students on topics aimed at helping them to adjust to life in the United States and the American law school experience; Advised College of Law chapter of Toastmasters International, a club whose focus is to encourage its members to develop their public speaking and leadership skills.
