Lang is brilliant. He is really passionate about his subject and he tries to get his students to participate at the same level. He has a loud voice with more energy than you might expect which may be intimidating. Lecture attendance isn't mandatory, but you'll probably be worse off for skipping. Overall not a difficult class.
