Audit
I studied Ocean and Coastal Law in order to enhance my teaching of environmental philosophy. It was a brilliant class
and I think it's likely I'll take more classes at VLS in the future. I'm not seeking a degree; I'm just seeking to learn more. Good policies make a big difference.

The Asociación Bio-Itzá is a small NGO run by a handful of Itzá Maya living in northern Guatemala. Through ecotourism and Spanish language instruction for foreigners
they work to preserve a small section of the Maya Biosphere Reserve and to pass on their traditional knowledge of the neotropical forest. My role is miniscule in comparison to theirs
but I enthusiastically support them
and consult with them several times a year about increasing the scope of their work
especially in developing sustainable forestry and agriculture practices
and in teaching practical ecology to youth in their region.\n\nhttps://www.facebook.com/asociacionbioitza?fref=ts
