Awful
Honestly, I wanted to like Prof. Lohman, but he really made it too hard for students. He made exams way too specific, so if you like memorization type of exam, then this class is for you. Assignments are fine, but labs had no correlation with Ecology. I actually think I had a better time in Orgo than this class. This could have been more interesting.
Poor
Way too complicated of a teacher, there is no reason why it should have been this complicated. The slides were rushed and he told us to write as he spoke, which is very difficult when he writes a paragraph per slide. Any complaints are answered rudely. The tests were on the slides but they were way too specific of questions. I didn't learn a thing.
Poor
Professor Lohman is a good person. But his new teaching style is seriously out of wack. He said he's not giving us the slides and it's fine. However, he zooms through each slide with so much information on them. Then, if someone complains he gives major attitude. His exams were okay though. But you need to study a lot. Honestly, this is not an easy class.
Awful
Lohman goes through his slides very fast, and will continue even if you didn't get to write everything down. His slides consist of no text, and he will only present them with text if a bunch of students request, even then it will be 1-2 days before a test. He believes students learn better this way due to a research article he read, which he sends to the entire class.
Poor
I'm not sure how Professor Lohman was before, however he seems to have changed. He gave tests mainly with his own specific examples of ecology terms, and was barely written in such a way to relate with his slides or what the textbook has shown. He is okay as a person, however he didn't seem to care about how his students were doing, which a handful wasn't doing well.
