Good
A university level history class was intimidating but the readings were very acceptable and easy to understand. The class field trips really were useful to bring home the historical significance of the different historical events that were covered.
Average
History required a lot of reading and the books that were assigned covered pretty much the same period so they gave an alternative perspective on some of the more important events. Just be sure to attend class as Cameron takes lecture attendance.
Awesome
Dr. Cameron is the best professor I've had at Texas A&M! He turned this into my favorite class even though I never liked history and had negative feelings going into the class. The readings can seem like a lot at first, but you will get used to it and it will become manageable. The study guides really help with the three exams and there are pop quizzes every week.
Awful
Professor Cameron was by far the worst instructor I've ever had. He required us to read a textbook, novel, primary source documents, media, and his lectures on his exam. He wanted us to memorize everything. Prepare yourself to get failed for a few three question pop quizzes, two exams and a final. I recommend that you do not take his class.
Awesome
Doctor Cameron was the sweetest man I've ever met. He really cares about his job and us, his students. He never tried to make me feel stupid and did really get me outside of my comfort zone in his class. I highly recommend that you must visit him during office hour to know him better. Just sit in front, participate and it will be all worth it.
Awesome
Professor Cameron is one of the best teachers at A&M. He cares for every student and truly knows what he is talking about. He wants you to pass and will make sure that you do. He will help you greatly if you go to his office hours. There are weekly quizzes and he tells you when they will be. Don't skip class though, what he talks about is on the tests.
