If you're willing to take Professor Wheeler's class, make sure you can design an online game by yourself. Yes it is the SWE 681 project. The lecture only theoretically told you some concepts about security and nothing about system design. Also, the final exam only takes 5%. This means that, if you can't design an online game, you won't pass this class.

Prof. Wheeler is a fantastic professor, and I've actually had the pleasure of taking two of his classes (SWE 622 and SWE 681). Classes can be demanding, but the grading is fair, and the lectures are excellent. I learned a lot from his lessons, even things that I've applied on the job.
