Bautista, Ph.D.

Dr. Bautista teaches courses and develops curriculum for a number of schools and programs both online and face to face. He received his Ph.D. from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto in 2005. A graduate of the Curriculum, Teaching and Learning department, he holds graduate degrees in Curriculum Studies and Teacher Development.
Recently, he joined the School of English and Liberal Arts at Seneca College. He teaches introductory courses in writing and media/pop culture.
For the University of New Brunswick, he holds a GSTA (MYA-ROFR) for the Faculty of Education teaching M.Ed. courses in Curriculum Theory (online).
At Yorkville High School, accredited with the Ontario Ministry of Education for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), he is their English department head teaching online courses for international students preparing to study in Canada.
For the University of the People, a US non-profit online global foundation, he designed the course Curriculum Design and Instructional Decision Making opened in 2019.
Dr. Bautista is a firm believer in educators collaborating within a community of practice - to teach, to learn from and to support each other. Storied lives and shared stories - the educator's life.
