My research lies in the area of Human Computer Interaction. My recent research has focused on understanding perceptual limitations which influence the design of present and emerging technologies, and the development of hardware, operating systems, and other software to meet those limitations. Additional interests include Computer Supported Collaborative Work, Information Visualization, Macro-Human Computer Interaction, Social Implications of Computing, and Ubiquitous Computing.

Chatham Labs is an organization dedicated to inventing the future of human-computer interaction. Co-founded by graduates of the Universities of Toronto and Waterloo, our team boasts industry experience from Microsoft, Autodesk, Disney Research, Google, Facebook, and others, as well as co-founders of several successful tech startups, holders of dozens of patents, and authors of top-selling books on human-computer interaction. Our clients are Silicon Valley giants, New York financiers, Austin startups, and Toronto innovators. In partnership with those clients, we develop product road-maps and innovative technologies, as well as research plans to test them, and IP strategies to protect them.
Co-Founder, Chief Science Advisor
Tactual Labs is dedicated to the development of real-time interactive computing, achieving experiences which respond to user input in a millisecond, achieving startling, more precise, and perceptibly superior results.
Tactual Labs is led by an R&D team of interactive computing surface pioneers and human-computer interaction veterans spread across New York, Boston, Toronto, and Washington DC.
