You're graded only on the exams and the quizzes, and you can take the quizzes three times. The exams are similar to both the homework and quizzes, so those are very helpful. The book wasn't really necessary but it can help out if you're having difficult. Just an awesome professor who was well-tempered and pretty helpful.
