Research Assistant
My work here involved reviewing documents pertaining to asbestos litigation. Documents, such as legal complaints, affidavits and case summaries, were reviewed for information pertinent to the case. I also provided feedback on the processes for data analysis, such as whether the data collection methods used in the project actually captured what we needed and what improvements could be made.
I was also involved in a project that examined the relationship between private debt and GDP. This project required me to promptly learn how to use the Datastream plugin for Microsoft Excel.
Independent Observer
This was a temporary project that sought to gauge usage of federal courtrooms. I would show up to the courthouse and verify whether courtrooms were being used as scheduled. I recorded data about the room's usage, such as what time events started and ended, and later entered the data online.
Survey Data Analyst (volunteer)
My work here revolved around a survey of service providers to immigrant women who had been victims of crime. In addition to providing input on survey design, I analyzed survey findings and drafted a report for publication.
