Poor
Professor Carr is a cool guy outside the classroom. Often during class he gets off topic and his tests also do not coincide with what he talks about during class. He uses PowerPoint presentations which he also posts online but he goes into so much detail on the slides that you either have to go to class or basically teach the material to yourself.
Good
Professor Carr doesn't take attendance, but you NEED to go to class! He will post notes weeks before he gives the lecture in class. I recommend taking notes before the lecture and then going to class to follow along and add anything he might say. BIO 101 naturally is a subject that has a lot of material. Go to the Marathon and SI sessions! You can pass!
Poor
Professor Carr was okay. I did not like his lectures because they are long winded. His test are standardized, which makes studying hard because most of the material he talks about in class is not on the test.
Average
Professor Carr is a very nice man and an even better professor. Just don't neglect his class. You must follow his course calendar or syllabus and go to his SI sessions or office hours, if you need his help. Truly, those will help you a lot. Also, just read the content and you'll be fine.
Awesome
Professor Carr is an amazing biology prof! He provides excellent feedback (when you ask the questions) and is willing to go out of his way to answer questions that he does not already know the answers to. He is readily accessible and eager to assist you in every way he can! He's also pretty funny and I really enjoy going to his lectures. He has a fair grading!
Awful
Carr is not the type of teacher you want if you really want to learn something. He frequently off on tangents, and his class has a low attendance rate. He's also distant and dismissive when you ask him questions. SI sessions help make the class more understandable though. But he's really not a good prof. Wouldn't recommend at all.
Poor
Attend the SI and PRECEPTING SESSIONS. Chase and Ed (my preceptors) ARE THE ONLY REASON I DID NOT FAIL. Carr's lectures are long and tedious, but if you go and listen carefully, they make sense. Make friends, schedule a lot of study sessions, read as much as you can from the textbook, and GO TO CLASS, and you should be OK.

Professor Carr cares about Biology. If he expects you to know something, he simply takes off. Your score is mainly based on four exams and the final. The homework is online quizzes, that can be done multiple times though. He will drop the lowest grade too. However, I wouldn't recommend him if you'd never taken a Biology class before. It's not a hard class if you try though.

Professor Carr is nice. Obviously, he cares about Biology a lot. Attendance is not mandatory, but he was angry when there were not many students during lectures. His tests were difficult, so I attended each class and took notes. I suggest you attend the SI sessions, they really help. In addition, you need to work on your grade. On the other hand, the lowest score on the test will be dropped though.

Professor Carr's lectures are unorganized but attending them is useful. Also, I suggest you attend SI and precepting sessions. It is essential to pass this course. He's a nice guy who really cares about the subject, but not a great professor. Overall, not the teacher to take if you have no prior knowledge about biology.
Awesome
If you just show up and pay attention, you'll be okay. I didn't actually write anything down. Instead, I just prepared study guides about two days before each exam.
