Awful
Professor Robles was very hypocritical and unfair. His path was always the only one and he never really listened to us. His lectures were unorganized and not very well explained. Avoid taking his class if possible.
Poor
Professor Robles appears to have difficulty treating his students fairly. He clearly favors certain students and assigns exceptionally harsh grades to them (many of my peers received 20s on essays). If you ask him what was wrong with your work, he would tell you that he stopped grading because he felt there were too many mistakes. In general I wouldn't recommend this prof at all.
Awful
You will not understand Professor Garcia's style. It's very difficult to keep up with and understand what is actually happening in the course. Sometimes, I wondered if what we were learning was relevant. If he likes you, great you'll be fine, but otherwise good luck. If he's the only one teaching this course just take take another course since I would not recommend him.
Average
Professor Garcia requires some work and is easier than other Spanish classes. This is a required class for a minor. I saw a review that said he was rude, which I somewhat agree with. His mood, when he evaluates your assignment, determines your assessment. I got a low B on a paper that was much better than one of my classmates who got an A. And unfortunately, he said he was in a bad mood when he graded mine.
Poor
Professor Garcia's class is Spanish-heavy. I took his class after intermediate and was definitely surprised. There are a lot of native speakers in the class, which lowers the grade for those of us trying to learn Spanish. I can tell that she likes native speakers more than previous students because it shows.
Awesome
Professor Robles is patient, responsible, funny, kind, and intelligent. Undoubtedly, I can say that I learned a lot from him. The material can be a little tricky, but nothing you can't learn. The textbook is provided by him and attendance is part of your grade.
Awesome
Professor Garcia cares so much about his students and wants everyone to learn. I loved going to his classes because he's hilarious and makes the class very interactive. We have homework and essays to write, but everything is manageable and he's there to help. Added that he provided us with a copy of the chapters. Overall, he's one of the best professors at Texas A&M University.
