Good
Professor Briesen Professor will give you too many in-class assignments. It would be difficult not to learn something. You will get a lot of work, maybe you will learn something new. The course is heavy with stuff PHP. Lots of web tutorials have to be taken in this course. The class assignments are okay for students new to programming.
Average
The computer science Code academy assignments don't always work. You spend a lot of time trying to figure out what you have to do. For me they took up too much time and did not teach me anything. Tying up a lot of time which you can not recover. Before the end of the class.
Awesome
The Code academy assignments would not always work for me and they took up a lot of time. It was easier to study IBM 1401 assembler and then convert the code to Basic. There were too many non-technical students in the class who asked really stupid questions and then could not understand the instructors answers. Big waste of time for someone who really want to learn Computer Science.
Awesome
He's pretty cool.
Awesome
He's a flexible teacher, and I like that.
Good
Dr. Briesen is extremely knowledgeable and an awesome professor although he does not have a lot of patience with stupid questions. He is very available to his students, which I really appreciated, not all professors at CPCC are. tolerant of stupid questions. You will learn a lot, but you must put in the time, so be prepared to spend a good deal of your study time in this course. I definitely have become a better coder! I really liked the chemical engineering portion of the class. He helped me on a summer project that I worked on and He made it a total success.
Awesome
Teacher is easy.
Awesome
D.I. Von Briesen is a really good instructor. He knows his subject and he will try to help you with the concepts you are learning. He is the best WEB instructor I have ever had. Schoolwork can pile up quickly, but he makes allowances for late submissions.
Good
This was a hybrid computer science class, so you really had to work hard to get a passing grade.
Awesome
von Briesen really cares about teaching the material. He hosted a weekly on-campus class for the course I took. He wants you to succeed if you work.
Awesome

Awesome
I am grateful to have taken him as a professor. Not all professors will give you chances to redeem yourself and make sure you pass. He also has a good sense of humor. He has a very clear work and grading criteria as well.
Awesome
I really adore the class of Professor Briesen. Reason is that I learned a lot even though I am only past few weeks in the class. This is my first online class and the experience is not bad for the first timer. I really like that there is a discussion board, which is to help those that are in need of assistance when something gets hard to understand.
Good
This professor wants to see you succeed. Stay informed for the class and make sure to do your work. If you do, you will succeed and get a well deserved grade.
Good
Prof. Briesen is very lenient on late work but don't cram. He gives good feedback as well. You learn a lot from this class even though it has a lot of work to do. Good luck to you!

This was a challenging course with lots of work, especially if you don't have a lot of programming experience, but it is doable. Take the time to study and do the weekly homework, don't get behind. This teacher was very knowledgeable and helpful with the material, so seek help if needed.
Good
Class was hard but you learn a lot.
Awesome
Prof. Briesen is very straightforward on his expectations. I spent probably 1-2 hours weekly to finish the assignments and project.
Awesome
Prof. Von Briesen is pretty organized and straightforward of his expectations. He also keeps reminding students of their status in class as the semester goes on. He discusses all the relevant material and gives us time to digest it. I totally learned lots from him and will always appreciate his teaching style.
Awesome
This was a great class. I can't stress enough that you must take your time when doing assignments so that you get a good grade the first time. It's a lot of work, not hard but time consuming, so don't wait till Sunday to do it. Overall though is was a great class, definitely an easy A!
Awesome
Briesen was by far one of the best online professors that I've ever had. Gives many opportunities to improve your grade, is very helpful, and pushes you to do better each week.

Awesome
I had a great class with Prof. Briesen! He will teach you everything about word, powerpoint, excel, and access. Class is totally easy but assignments are quite time consuming. He also offers extra credit opportunities and you get to work at your own time.
Awesome
Professor Briesen is the best online professor I have had. He will help you every step of the way. He allows time for slow learners to catch up. He has a good choice of words and a good vibe. Class is knowledge packed yet so easy and fun, I don't have the exact words to use right now but I will say that he is a worthy professor, a rare gem, a computer wizard and best so.
Awesome
Professor Briesen is one of the best teachers I have ever met.
Good
I liked professor Von Briesen, he gives amazing feedback, and always answers students questions. The only thing I disliked was that he would sometimes put grades in late.
Awesome
Prof. Briesen was very helpful! He always gives opportunities for feedback as well. If you need help, the discussion board was the place to go. Prof. Briesen was also very helpful aside from your peers. This is such a great class! Sem went by really fast.
Awesome
My class under Professor Briesen was online. So it's trickier to tell how he is like in person. But I was still able to say that this teacher was a solid gem throughout the semester. He gives constant online feedback and provides constant status updates. By this, you know what's going on in class and you don't feel left out, which makes it great overall.
Awesome
Prof. Briesen's course was very challenging. Since I was new to web design, I wasn't sure what to expect but I know for sure that this class was going to take some effort. My teacher was very helpful. He's very knowledgeable and after he explained a lot of things to me, I finally understood it. I actually feel way more confident in the subject after taking his class.
Awesome
Prof. Briesen is awesome! I'd honestly take him for all of my classes if I could. He communicates well and if you need help with anything, he would really be there for you. He's just amazing in every way possible!
