• Elon University

  Assistant Professor of Sport & Event Management

  Connected with 400+ students as instructor for Sport Marketing, Sport Finance, Contemporary Sport Management, and Research Methods in Sport as part of the Sport & Event Management undergraduate curriculum. Also co-taught "Ecotourism: Australia," a study abroad course (2015 & 2016), and mentored a new student and transition program called Discovery (2014 & 2015). Collaborated with colleagues at Elon University and at partner institutions to develop several professional development opportunities for students. In addition, I worked with students outside of the classroom in a number of roles (e.g., academic advisor, faculty internship supervisor, men’s club basketball faculty advisor, and honors thesis mentor).

• YMCA

  Senior Program Director, Cannon Street YMCA

  Cultivated strategic partnerships with a variety of organizations to develop satellite programs in Charleston County outside of the downtown community. Recruited 400+ program and policy volunteers and authored/awarded a number of grants to provide scholarships, supplies, and transportation for the afterschool, cultural arts programs, and summer camp programs based in the Cannon Street YMCA facility.

• University of Colorado Boulder

  Project Coordinator, Business of Sport Certificate Program

  Designed structure of project component of the Business of Sport (BOS) program and mentored 90+ students as they completed marketing-related research projects for organizations operating in the sport industry (e.g., Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rapids, Verizon Wireless, CU Athletics, Vail Resorts, USA Rugby). Connected with students as instructor for The Business of Sport summer course and the Corporate and Personal Finance module for students enrolled in the June 2012 and May 2013 CU Business Intensive Certificate (CUBIC) program.
