Worked as First Camera Assistant at Northlight Studio in Madison Heights, Michigan and Studio City, California from 1985-1994 as well as on location throughout the country, especially the American Southwest, then Supervisor at Meteor Photo in Troy, MI. Shot Detroit Pistons games 1984-1994 for Liton Studio, Okemos Michigan. Supervisor at Meteor Photo commercial lab in Troy, Michigan 1994-97.
I also worked on feature films, including the Oliver Stone Production _Zebrahead_, did photographic assignments and covers for Orbit Magazine in Royal Oak, Michigan and produced and photographed numerous promotional campaigns and photos for models and bands.

First-Year Composition (ENG 101), Intermediate Composition (201). Developed many innovative assignments utilizing holistic pedagogy, including group work and multi-modal interactive presentations, visual rhetoric, and collaborative assignments, especially in a computer lab setting. This has proven to be very effective in engaging today's students.I challenge my students to think outside their comfort zones. Currently teaching sections of ENG 201 (INT COMP) online. Taught Basic and Advanced Composition. Left after SP 2012 as duties at CMU and my photo business did not allow time for a third job! Interesting, fascinating, and a very different place to teach. Much more holistic and non-linear hierarchies of curriculum and administration than a state university. Loved my time there.
As there was no Writing Center to help Tribal Students with writing skills at SCTC, I stayed an hour or two twice a week after teaching there and was the unpaid Director of the Writing Center, sometimes having one or two helpers, also volunteers. We worked one-on-one with students with SWE isues.
