I have 5 years’ experience educating others to improve their communication skills. Currently, I work at a community college where I teach public speaking and interpersonal communication to 100+ students per semester. I also have a strong personal interest in new and emerging media technologies. I believe that technology has the power to improve our conversations, personally and professionally, if only we take care to use it responsibly.

Graduate Teaching Assistant
• Teach undergraduate level courses in business and professional communication.
• Evaluate and grade examinations, assignments, or papers and record grades.
• Develop teaching materials, such as syllabi, visual aids, and supplementary notes.
• Meet with supervisors to discuss students' grades or to complete required grade-related paperwork.
Online Reader/Evaluator
• Provide seasonal online standardized test grading support for both reading and math assessments.
• Score student test answers using the provided rubric in order to accurately evaluate their reading and math skills.
Purchasing Intern
• Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about purchase order status, changes, or cancellations.
• Contact suppliers to resolve shortages, missed deliveries, and other problems.
• Review requisition orders to verify accuracy and specifications.
• Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports and price lists.
• Compare suppliers' bills with purchase orders to verify accuracy.
Student Employee
• Enter patrons’ food orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.
• Answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.
• Perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, tidying up busser station, taking out trash, and cleaning and sanitizing dining tables.
• Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, condiments, tableware, and napkins.
• Wash dishes, cookware, tea cambros, and silverware.
Communications Instructor
• Prepare and deliver lectures to students on topics such as public speaking, communication theory, and interpersonal communication.
• Prepare course materials, such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
• Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, tests, speeches and papers.
