Good
Professor Hears is a great person. She's very helpful if you ask her questions. Just make sure you do the readings or else you will do bad on the pop quizzes and midterm. Attendance is not mandatory but you might miss a pop quiz. Only thing is that it's not easy to take notes during her lectures since she speaks very fast. However, I would take a class again under her.
Average
Professor Heard is a nice teacher who cares about the subject. However, I found that she assigns an excessive amount of work to her students given the fact that this is not a class required for a major. She is a nice teacher but do not take if you are looking for an easy class. Also, she speaks faster than some people can type. In the class there are seven pop quizzes (one which she drops), and a hard midterm.

I am a PhD Candidate researching race, class, and culture. My research interests largely rest in how different intersectional communities (black elites, for example) engage different class-, cultural-, and racial-projects to engage processes of social reproduction or social disruption. I teach Introduction to Sociology, Sociology of Race, and Quantitative Methods.
