  Accreditation Self-Study Coordinator

   Organize, coordinate, and facilitate any ACCJC required report, to include the self-study process.
   Coordinate activities with and support activities of any committees related to accreditation reporting and evidence gathering.
   Review and implement the self-study plan, including detailed timelines for subcommittees.
   Determine needed support resources (finances, clerical help, etc.) and make recommendations to the Vice President and Superintendent President regarding those resources.
   Lead the effort for evidence gathering on the assigned accreditation standard.
   Help to engage appropriate areas in the self-study and gathering of evidence and data and ensure adequate progress is made.
   Assist in problem solving and seek closure on items of deliberation.
   Ensure that subcommittee work is an accurate representation of all constituencies.
   Assemble Committee documents into a comprehensible, unified draft report.
   Receive, review and disseminate all information from ACCJC and the Evaluation Visit.
   Provide updates to Superintendent/President, the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Academic Senate, the Shared Governance Council and the Governing Board.
   Prepare for team visit with support of appropriate administrative assistant (reservations, meals, supplies, computer access, etc.)
   Comprehension of Handbook for Accreditation
   Resource and resident expert on the handbook for the College.
   Provide an orientation for the faculty, staff and other interested parties.
   Participate in a self-study coordinator training when available
   Co-direct and oversee the completion of evidence gathering for the self-study report (for the four co-coordinators of standards works)
   Co-write the first draft of the self-study report (relevant tasks for the four co-coordinators of standards works)
   Edit and produce the final draft of the self-study report (relevant tasks for the one editing coordinator

  Serve on the Distance Education Committee and ex-officio member of the Academic Senate.
   Serve on the Technology Committee.
   Coordinate programs to improve student success and support in online classes.
   Oversee the Course Shell Review and approval process of the DE Committee.
   Direct/facilitate the participation of Skyline College in the Online Education Initiative of the Chancellor’s Office.
   Help recruit new online faculty by developing and delivering presentations to the Academic Divisions. Participate in the preparation of reports to Chancellor’s Office and the Accreditation Commission.
   Work closely with the Instructional Designer to develop and disseminate standards for online course design. Design and deliver professional development programs for required FLEX days.
   Represent Skyline College at meetings of DE Coordinators through the CCC Chancellor’s Office and other venues and conferences.
   Provide support to faculty in the development and maintenance of technology-based curricula and in applying technology to teaching and learning.
   Continuously research and improve instructional delivery methods and operations in collaboration with faculty, vendors.
   Assist in the incorporation of multimedia instructional course content materials including images, video, audio and digital library materials using sound instructional design and pedagogical principles.
   Create documentation on internal procedures and prepare reports.
   Assist with assessment efforts, grant and research projects that include conducting faculty and student surveys and data analysis.
   Assist in the organization and coordination of conferences, symposiums, and other faculty-oriented technology programs.
   Collaborate with departmental/area staff and participate in required meetings
   Assist faculty with understanding and meeting accessibility compliance requirements for online courses and digital learning content.
