Taught several college courses in East Asian History and Western Civilization. Also taught a graduate-level course on the Progressive Era. Lectured to as many as 120 students.

Delivered professional papers at academic conferences and contributed a chapter to a collection of historical essays.

  • Democracy Fund

    Associate, Research and Systems

Led development and successful board approval of multi-year initiative strategy for Governance Program. Approval included budget of nearly $8 million for 2017. The strategy aims to improve the capacity of Congress to formulate policy, restore the institution's engagement with constituents, and cultivate a more constructive political climate on Capitol Hill.

The strategic development process I used relied heavily on a systems thinking approach. As part of the process I served as the main author of our team's systems map on Congress and the Public Trust.

I oversee the research and learning agenda the Governance Program will use to implement our program strategy.
