    All Citadels Must Fall

    Cade and Weylin

    two adult orphans with powers

stumble into a sinister Facility that is run by the Director who wants to harvest a genius mind. All Citadels Must Fall

    my urban fantasy novel

explores brotherhood and the state of being downtrodden by circumstances.

    All Citadels Must Fall

My screenplay incorporates mantis culture to depict a female and male couple who shed their culture’s norms while external forces attempt to break them apart. Melina experiences a burning desire to form a family

but she wonders if she can resist the urge to hurt Ty when the time comes to have offspring. Melina and Ty go to their diverse set of insect friends and families for advice on their quest of self-discovery. A hidden enemy wants to be with Melina and hires ruthless mercenaries to get rid of Ty. However

    an honorable mercenary

    the dragonfly Cipher

along with Ty’s gay mantis friend

    Orchid

and Melina try to rescue Ty.

    Break the Wave

Cipher has collected a new crew of even more monstrous entities whose minds can withstand the madness that dwells within the white edge of the universe. This is an open-ended adventure without an overt purpose or plot. Cipher travels around with this crew

catering to their desires. I intended for Cipher’s Culmination

    my science-fiction novel

to be about the pinnacles of madness. However

the characters said no. They wanted something more

so I changed the context for them. This book evolved to comprise madness and methods of healing trauma. Cipher sees it done. He shows the characters and the readers how they can overcome the demon at the edge before they become the demon at the edge.

Cipher’s Culmination: Demon at the Edge

This novel follows the jacketed characters as they build a New Atlantian style island for monsters. This piece is a comprehensive all-inclusive cross-comparative meta-commentary that explores monsters of myth from all nations and puts them in dialogue with each other. Specifically

my book utilizes a sociological lens that shows monsters as possible representations of groups who are othered rather than the overt readings of monsters from myth as only anxieties and fears.

    The Jackets: Sundering the Jail

I have cross-referenced two different editions of Thomas Malory’s Le Morte D’Arthur to craft a screenplay about the life of King Arthur’s bastard child. To rationalize Mordred’s hateful motives

I have his character obsess over the Mayday Massacre

a tale that many people do not know because writers often do not detail Arthur’s crimes. Because of Merlin’s prophesy that Mordred would one day usurp Arthur’s throne

    Arthur

who does not know which child is his

puts scores of children on a boat that is shipwrecked in Arthur’s attempt to kill them all. Mordred is the only survivor and comes back to annihilate his father’s court.

    Mordred: The Endbringer of Mayday

This novel follows the lives of Kevin and Kiah

siblings who travel the world and help people to die with agency. They follow a practice of interviewing their candidates to see if they are severely ill and in need of assisted suicide. Kev and Kiah’s story is one of psychological intrigue

    gray morality

emotional void-spots and grief as they assist candidates who each ask to die in a creative way.

    Oath to Manslaughter

My novel details four siblings and a close friend who go into a secret basement room and find a set of mysterious powerful jackets that their recently deceased father has bequeathed to them. Allistair

    Clover

    Cody

Kira and their friend Donovan are not generic monster-killing heroes. The children of the monster break cliché traditions of literary bigotry by siding with the monsters of mythology to fight an ancient human cult. Monsters have been forced into the role of villain for too long. No more. In this adventure of a lifetime

    monsters are the heroes.

The Jackets: Children of the Monster

This is a screenplay that depicts Norse mythology from the perspective of Loki and Angrboda's monstrous children

    Jormungandr

Fenrir and Hella. Odin sees a prophesy of Ragnarok and banishes the three siblings. His actions cause a self-fulfilling prophesy since rejecting and isolating these creatures causes them to become hateful. They survive on their own for long enough until they can return to enact vengeance.

    Children of Ragnarok

My collection of poems pick apart the bigotries and hypocrisies of the world. I give particular attention to attacking the pervasiveness of contemporary aesthetics. My collection focuses on treating insects

    animals

plants and monsters with more respect than they are usually given. I also explore themes of bullying

    conflict and racism as well.

    Monstrosity: The Benevolent Infection

This is a young adult novel about a group of six friends who use their imaginations to spice up their quiet upstate New York town where they struggle with growing up.

    My Days in Cold Spring

This is a short screenplay about twelve warriors who are teleported into a barren wasteland and forced to fight the machines of a mysterious narrator. As the twelve figures struggle through the wastes

they begin to understand the bizarre motive of their faceless foe.

    Metagame

This is a seventy page children’s book that I wrote and illustrated. My compilation of seven interconnecting children’s stories has an overarching theme about not judging others by their appearances. Some sub-themes are learning how to play without hurting others

    accepting others who are disfigured

    teaching life lessons to siblings

    helping the disabled

    growing up without a father

and building the confidence of those with body-image insecurities. My primary goal as a writer is to prove that benevolent monsters can be just as internally and externally gorgeous as those who fit within the norm of modern aesthetics.

The Story of Typhon and Echidna

This novel depicts the life of Lorien

a chameleon-like bipedal alien who is trying to make a living as a shuttle bus driver to support her son

    Arbor

who aspires to be an architect. Through their adventures

I explore themes of grief and motherhood.

    Leaving the Shuttle Behind

This is a short philosophical play about the severe effects of bullying. Chris and his mom

    Lorraine

    interact with his memories

which play out in front of them. I display various issues of racism

    post-traumatic stress disorder

and methods to survive bullying without resorting to suicide or violence. This is a self-help guide for anyone who needs a way to endure bullying without resorting to hurting themselves or others.

    The Dragon Under the Mountain

My English writing and grammar guide has been built from years of tutoring college students. Through working with them

I have found creative ways to help them improve and understand aspects of writing

    grammar

and mechanics. The guide also gives tips on writing novels

    poems

    memoirs and essays.

    Typhon's Volcano Guide to Writing

This is a sci-fi action adventure novel with mystery elements. A group of warriors

soldiers and killers struggle to survive as an army of puppets are decimating their planet. The protagonists embark on a quest to discover the identity of the mad puppeteer before all life is annihilated on their planet.

    I Have Strings

This novel details the madness that can warp the mind of an untouchable in a caste system. C is an untouchable in New Vadria’s caste system on an alien planet that possesses elemental mines. After years of working in the sewers as an untouchable

the protagonist’s nose and taste buds are damaged. He betrays his nation by stealing weapon secrets from their academy and selling them to an enemy nation on the other side of the world. While attacking the mines

he focuses on his mission to free other untouchables who are scattered through a verdant land that is ruled by the uppers.

    Mana Vein

My sci-fi memoir’s sequel depicts a new species

    referred to as the Apathy

who threatens to dominate the universe. Planets are falling and being dominated by the Apathy and Cipher rallies the protagonists and antagonists to fight in the war that he has been plotting for years. Cipher causes a war that spreads across the universe all to bait out his true foe

the master of the Apathy beings. On their adventure

they experience life lessons that delve into the various beneficial and negative uses for apathy.

    Apathy's Extinction

Melina and Ty along with their children and friends find themselves in the midst of mosquito bombings. The Vampire returns to exact vengeance on humanity for killing his children in their sleep with poison mists. Melina and Ty must make a choice between protecting humans from being infected by a mass West Nile outbreak or allowing The Vampire to seek justice for his slaughtered kin.

    Break the Haze

My screenplay details one of the most unknown and underrated stories in Greek Mythology. Echidna and Typhon are two innocent monstrous heroes who engage in a cataclysmic battle to dethrone the tyrant

    Zeus. Before going to war

Echidna and Typhon have children and the children grow up fatherless because Typhon he loses in the end and is wrongfully imprisoned for life (he is essentially a POW). This screenplay is a response to all of the generic writers who perpetrate literary bigotry against monsters (whether consciously or subconsciously). Writers

who force monsters into the role of generic stepping stones to be killed and abused by humans

    demigods and gods

perform a severe disservice to monsters by denying them a voice. These writers lack true depth and as a result

their words subtly teach others that bashing and killing those who look different is acceptable. Monsters shall be stepping stones no more. Typhon and Echidna will see to that.
