Poor

You can honestly skip lecture and yet pass if you attend SI and every Lab meeting. Lectures were a waste of time. This class was extremely difficult, but he makes it so that you get 30 points just for turning it in, so you CAN pass if you put in the effort. Use WebTutor for practice problems, attend every SI, and be your TA's best friend.

Awesome

I love Doctor Menzel. He was very helpful and really cares about his students. Honestly, if you put in the work and effort you will do really well in the class. A perfect score to the professor, teacher assistants, and SI.

Average

To be honest, I had no choice but to take Professor Menzel's class because he's the only professor of Philosophy 240. He doesn't really teach, he basically just talks to himself during lectures. I'm very glad I took this course during the pandemic because there's no way I would have come out with a passing grade. I chose the pass or fail option for this class.

Poor

Doctor Menzel was fine. Attendance is not mandatory in his class. So, most of us did not go to class because his lectures often made things more confusing. I loved PHIL240, but mostly because of the teacher assistants and the SI instructor. It's an easy A, but not a very good teacher.
