I am currently developing a 3D computational model of a platelet using the sub-cellular element method. This project is being built in C++ and utilizes the Thrust library
which provides algorithms similar to C++ Standard Template Library that run in parallel
for example on the GPU
thus speeding up computationally intensive calculations. The goal of this project is to better understand the internal mechanics of how a platelet operates and how these influence blood clot formation.
