I began my college experience at Montcalm Community College in 1994 before transferring to Central Michigan University (Fire Up, Chips!) to complete my bachelor's degree in secondary education and my master's degree in English Language and Literature. After 15 years of teaching high school English at Central Montcalm and Fulton, I joined MCC's full-time English faculty in 2014. At MCC, I teach composition and literature courses, and I’m the Writing Center coordinator. 

I have an amazing wife and three (also amazing) kids. I am a volunteer basketball coach at Fulton High School, and I also play drums and guitar in our church worship band. I love sports (especially basketball), reading, writing, music, and large bodies of water. When I grow up, I want to learn to be a really good photographer. I despise scalloped potatoes.
