Awful
She is an awful teacher. She spends the whole lecture talking about non important things instead of actually teaching. You basically end up having to teach yourself through the book and TA's. There is an incredible amount of homework every week for it to only count for a minimal amount of your grade, while the extremely hard tests count for your entire grade.
Awful
Professor Lowry's tests are way too hard.
Awful
Professor Lowry will get sidetracked often. I felt they were more interested in socializing with students than teaching - spent one ENTIRE lecture on ONE problem! He does not focus enough on students comprehending her material, expects automatic understanding. I learned more from the teachers assistants, they have 30 hrs/week for help. There are a lot amount of assignments, exams are 66% of grade.
Awful
Exams are nothing like the hw. The TA's are not taught how to grade or what to teach. Lectures were not helpful at all. I ended up learning more just teaching myself. She does not care about students, she just wants to get kids to join BAP, an accounting frat. The material is already challenging and she makes it even more confusing that it has to be. Overall, an awful teacher.
Awesome
Professor Lowry is a great professor. People who don't like her were just petty about their bad grades. Accounting is hard, no matter who your professor is. You have to work for an A. On the other hand, she wants to see her students succeed and gave out lots of opportunities both in and out of class.
Good
Professor Lowry can be annoying in lecture but she is very helpful considering the amount of students. The tests are pretty hard but as long as you put in the work for the other assignments and study before exams you will get a good grade.
Awesome
Lowery is a great professor, she was forced to leave mid semester which was hard to adjust to. Many people disagree however it's because this is their first hard class and they don't put the effort into getting an A. You will definitely get an A, as long as you do all the work and extra credit.
