Associate Director of Admissions
The Associate Director of Admissions is generally responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Office of Admissions and reports directly to the Director of Admissions and Recruitment and provides leadership in the absence of the Director.
• Assisted in the development of the annual unit strategic plan.
• Assisted in the development, implementation, and administration of policies and procedures.
• Maintained, administered, and exercised good stewardship as a backup budget manager in the
absence of the Director for Admissions and Recruitment office operations.
• Assisted the Assistant Director of Recruitment with the coordination of orientation whenever
necessary.
• Served on appropriate GPC committees, task forces, and/or leadership teams.
• Represented the institution at conferences and meetings, and in regional and national
committees.
• Provided new applicant enrollment data and campaign updates.
• Collaborated with admissions and recruitment staff on new and existing recruitment materials
and strategies to increase enrollment targets of various student populations.
• Conducted ongoing analysis of admissions processing activities to assess enrollment targets and
ensure the integrity and compliance with institutional, Board of Regents, state, and federal
regulations and ethical business practices.
• Provided opportunities for staff training to create better processing efficiency.
• Ensured that recruit record information (internal and external) is properly and efficiently loaded
into BANNER.
• Worked with IT staff to collaborate on routine data cleansing operational strategies.

Associate Director
The Associate Director of Admissions reports directly to the Associate Vice President of Admissions and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Office of Admissions for the both associate and bachelors levels for six campuses. This position manages the workflow and progression of student statuses based on reporting and analytics.
▪ Supervises three processing managers and thirty-five support staff across two campuses.
▪ Assists and communicates with students, parents, faculty, staff, and vendors daily concerning
student admissions progress.
▪ Conducts analytical reviews of data to determine the need for strategic changes in processes and
departmental focus.
▪ Uses Slate, BANNER, and Argos to maintain processing standards and to run reports.
▪ Streamlines the Enrollment Management processes for a growing student population of
approximately 43,000 applicants.
▪ Oversees the hiring, onboarding process, and training schedules for new employees.
▪ Conducts 30, 60, 90, 120, and annual employee performance reviews to monitor the ongoing
progress and need for professional development among staff.
▪ Attends and conducts committee, task force, and/or leadership team meetings.
▪ Conducts ongoing analysis of Admissions processing activities to ensure the integrity and
compliance with institutional, Board of Regents, state and federal regulations, and ethical business
practices.
▪ Administers training for the processing team, admissions counselors, call center team, and
advising center.
▪ Works with OIT staff to approve BANNER access to staff and to collaborate on routine data
cleansing strategies.
▪ Represents the institution at conferences and meetings, as well as regional and national committee
meetings.
Admissions Coordinator
Responsible for the data entry and maintenance of applications for special programs, downloaded applications through the Xap Control Center, cleared all Department of Technical and Adult Education (DTAE) data entry errors, and assisted the Registrar with daily activities.
• Inputted, evaluated, maintained and/or updated applications for all special population programs.
• Downloaded applications from the XAP Control Center and managed the link with quarterly information changes.
• Supervised the work flow for Admissions part-time and student assistant staff.
• Reviewed and prepare international student Admissions documentation for data entry and I-20 issuance.
• Corrected DTAE data entry errors in BANNER for Enrollment Management.
• Assisted Registrar and students with registration, schedule change, and withdrawal processes.
• Evaluated and monitored course registration for all learning support and international students.
• Assisted Registrar with degree audits/evaluations and awarding degrees.
• Assisted with commencement preparation and created and formatted commencement program.
Enrollment Management Associate
Responsible for downloading and processing paper and electronic applications and fee waivers; served as the primary liaison between XAP Control Center Corporation and SSD Technology Partners; processed transcripts, test scores, and semester updates into BANNER; processed/evaluated freshmen files; and indexed documents into BANNER
• Maintained and updated the data processing work flow for Enrollment Management.
• Updated and maintained the term controls and the quarterly Enrollment Management information changes viewed by students through the XAP Control Center/ GACollege411.
• Scanned, indexed, and assigned all incoming student documents to the appropriate files.
• Ensured that all processors produced consistent data entry accuracy and proficiency.
• Built and updated BANNER tables and assisted the Registrar with clearing Academic Data Mart (ADM) error report.
• Calculated high school grade point averages and assists the Registrar’s Office with college transcript articulation and data entry.
• Assisted the Registrar’s Office and students with registration, schedule change, and withdrawal processes.

Associate Director of Admissions for Operations
Responsible for managing six employees of the processing team; serves as the primary internal liaison for the Office of Internationalization and the external liaison for XAP Control Center Corporation and SSD Technology Partners; serves as the resident expert on matter of records integrity, accuracy, security, and confidentiality; assisting with the registration and withdrawal process; and clearing Academic Data Mart (ADM) reporting errors.
• Oversee the processing team and all processing details and maintenance.
• Maintain the data processing work flow for Enrollment Management, while adhering to the Board
Regents Policies and Procedures.
• Streamline the Enrollment Management processes for a growing student population of more than 9800 students.
• Create, update, and maintain the procedures and operations manual for Admissions.
• Update and maintain the appropriate changes for term controls and semester pertinent Enrollment Management information for the website through the XAP Control Center/GACollege411.
• Ensure that all processors produce consistent data entry accuracy and proficiency.
• Evaluate applicant documents to determine admissibility and processes semester updates.

Director Of Admissions
Responsible for overseeing the overall direction and coordination of Admissions at South Georgia State College (SGSC). This involves working with students, potential students, families and the general public on how to become admitted based on the implemented SGSC and University System of Georgia policies while also supporting the mission and vision of SGSC.
