Poor
Acts as if the dance room with wooden floors and mirrors is why she can't give a good lesson. When she speaks she goes way overboard. She forgets that you're a human so forget trying to explain a situation to her. She's a rude bunhead that should go back to dance class and learn how to treat people with respect.
Good
I highly recommend Lopez, she is a good Professor, and her class is great. I would definitely take another one of her classes. Her only deposition is to show up and not miss class as well as learn.
Average
Be prepared to dance if you plan to take Prof. Lopez' class, even if it's supposed to be a lecture only. She's very passionate about dancing! Actually, I learned a lot about dance even if I didn't want to. She's also pretty good. Just show up and be respectful! Also, wear something you can dance in.
Awesome
This is the class for you if you want to learn about the history of dance and learn new techniques to add to your vocabulary. The midterm project is a group project in which students interview a dance instructor about their role in the dance world. The final project is a group project with another student about starting your own dance promotion company.
Awful
Professor Lopez is pleasant. However, she gives a lot of work for a dance appreciation class. She asked for four pages of your paper, which wouldn't be so hard if the topics we covered weren't so boring. Overall, this is the most boring class that I've ever had.
Awful
Professor Lopez is nice. However, she gives way too much work for a dance appreciation class. This class is very boring and she expects you to write four-page papers for a particular dancer. She also makes you dance and record for yourself. Overall, don't take this class if you are looking for an easy way to get your fine arts credit out of the way.
