Design practitioner/educator/researcher: As a clothing design practitioner I currently work in the industry and as a educator and researcher I work collaboratively within the field of academia, the discipline of apparel and textiles, and the multidisciplinary community of design thinking. For the past twelve years I have enthusiastically taught textiles, traditional pattern making and draping, CAD, construction techniques, technical design, and portfolio presentation. As a practitioner I have worked as a costume designer and couture shop owner to render designs, engineer patterns, create prototypes, conduct fittings, sequence construction steps, and solve design problems.
