Prof. Kwoba is very passionate about his job and he's definitely an incredible professor. The class mostly involves discussions which are pretty engaging. He assigns readings before every class and gives weekly quizzes. He also requires weekly short response writings. This class encouraged me to dig deeper.

Prof. Kwoba taught this class in a different perspective. I learned lots about US history which was never taught in textbooks. Class is more enjoyable than lectures because it is mostly discussion-based. There were tons of reading and writing which are pretty doable. Overall, it was an enjoyable and interesting class, so I would recommend taking him.

Professor Kwoba is accessible outside of class and gives good feedback. Participation does matter. He's a very good teacher. I plan on taking him again for upper level.

Doctor Kwoba is an amazing professor. There was lots of reading, but it was all worth it. I looked forward to going to every class, the discussions we had were always interesting and engaging.

I really liked Professor Kwoba's African American History class, I learned a lot of information. We had weekly quizzes with a max of ten questions, and a few 500/600 and 1,500 word papers. There is also readings for every class meeting. If you go to class, he is very interactive and wants to hear the students feedback on the topics discussed and he likes for you to talk to others.

Prof. Kwoba is the best teacher I've ever had! Every class he spoke very passionately about what he was teaching, so it was never boring. He always came to class with a positive attitude and made the class feel like a happy little family. Would recommend him, 10/10!
