I am the Director of Bands at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi on the gulf coast of Texas. I have public school experience in Illinois and Virginia, and I did my doctoral studies at University of Arizona in Tucson. My specialty is wind band transcriptions of brass band music.

I direct the Wind Symphony - the top wind ensemble in the Music Department - and University Band, the third band, so I see a wide range of student ability. I feel particularly strong in the areas of wind band repertoire and music education philosophy.

    I was the doctoral candidate in the wind band area at Arizona. I assisted with the first and second bands and led the third band. I was also fortunate to be able to work with the marching band in 2005.

    I studied with Anthony Maiello, one of the most inspirational figures in my life. I assisted with the first and second bands and did clerical work for the music department.
