During my time at the Resort
I had a wide range of roles: new hire trainer
floating Lead
and core Lead. I was responsible for building the Core Team at various locations
including Flik’s Fun Fair
Disney Animation/Disney Jr.
and The Tower of Terror (r.i.p.). As both a trainer and a lead
I facilitated the development of new trainers and leads in the area; kept each lead and trainer consistent with business practices. As a Core Lead
acted as the point of contact for the management team and other lines of business throughout the Resort; developed and maintained an extensive network of contacts through relevant LOBs to streamline communication and improve results. And
because I am passionate about mentoring and team-building
I was also occasionally involved in mentoring workshops
including “Tongue Fu” and the “True Colors” personality test.

As the Program Coordinator
I designed and deployed marketing and recruitment program to meet program solvency. I facilitated the application process and was the point of contact for student interested and those enrolled in the program. Before the summer course began each year
I coordinated both travel expenses and educational expenses
including budget reports and reimbursement processes. Once the course began
I also acted as advisor and analyst for the class
to help the instructors assemble teams that worked together well and leveraged students’ strengths.

During my time as a professor with the First Year Writing program at Biola
I was given free reign to design my syllabi and courses to support the program learning outcomes. I also served on the Biola assessment team for six years
which then worked to develop full-loop action plans to improve overall productivity. I also frequently attended workshops that focused on improving Core education and providing equitable access for diverse student populations

IRIS was an online education program that was started to try and close the gap on Biola's online G.E. offerings. While I started out at the Coordinator for Online Teaching and Assessment
I was eventually promoted to Operations Manager for IRIS; in this role
I acted as the primary liaison between our program and all the Universityt stakeholders. I also functioned as the Instructional Designer and coordinator for all online adjuncts
as well as designing the baseline expectations for IRIS Online Courses. As the Ops Manager
I was responsible for the usual tasks that fall to such a role: budgeting and planning
staff development
conversations with upper University professionals
etc.

As the editor
I make sure that the Resident and Business features in each monthly installment are gramatically correct and cohesive in style. I make adjustments
as necessary
to sustain the branding voice of Rossmoor Living
and communicate the changes and potential suggestions to my supervisor.

As a Composition instructor
I design syllabi and assignments to help my students become rigorous critical thinkers
readers
and writers. Grappling with texts that challenge our biases about class
race
and power
students practice the skills necessary to become ethical
engaged citizens. \n\nIn this role
I am responsible for creating and maintaining my syllabi and course LMSes
as well as assessing student work.
