Professor O'Sullivan, is a knowledgeable person that genuinely wants to hear everyone's input. Participation is important in his class. However, if you understand material and write well, you can still manage to get an A or so even if you hardly ever speak. If you're looking to get a lot out of his classes, you will. I highly recommend you taking one of his classes.
