  -Developed and implemented two academic options in Sport Communication and Physical Activity Management (the first in the State of South Carolina) -Served as the Coordinator of the Sport Communication and Physical Activity Management option -Developed and implemented six new courses for the Physical Activity Management and Sport Communication options -Instructed over thirty different courses in the areas of health, physical education, dance, physical activity management, and sport management -Established local internship opportunities for students enrolled in the Department. -Was named the 1998 and 1999 recipient of the Department's "Teacher of the Year" Award -Ascertained grant funding from the Kellogg Foundation, which resulted in the development and implementation of an after-school physical activity and mentoring program for female adolescents called "Project Blossom."
