Course: Social Justice Activism\n\nThis course introduces various concepts of theoretical frameworks and critical analysis in the field of social justice
collective action also known as activism and social movements. Through societal theories such as the ideas of oppression

imagery (film and documentaries) and conflicts will be explored. The course will focus on a number of concepts that aim at defining significant social justice and/or injustice including baseline foundations of conflicts. Students will be encouraged to explore the potential implications of each theory. \n\nIn addition
Social Justice Activism will examine different characteristics of social justice activism in ways that include and acknowledge how and why “change” occurs in diverse global communities and cultures. We will examine philosophical
ethical and psychological underpinnings of peaceful and just human relationships and how it relates to social justice activism whether it be individually and/or collectively.\n
