Dr. Bruce Bordner is a scholar-educator, government affairs professional, and political scientist with nearly twenty-five years of experience in government, government affairs, and academia. A polished public speaker, educator, and tactician and practitioner of applied politics, he has taught dozens of courses at the University of California, Riverside, and the California State University, Fullerton. He also teaches American Politics at Chapman University.
Prior to earning his Master’s Degree in Public Policy and a Doctorate in Government, he worked in the California State Assembly, California State Senate, and the United States House of Representatives.
In addition to his legislative background, Dr. Bordner spent many years working in corporate governmental affairs with a former Member of Congress, and as a Legislative Associate for Foley and Company Government and Public Affairs. The primary focus of these governmental affairs practices was on the development and management of federal legislative strategies and appropriations requests on the behalf of corporations and municipalities.
Dr. Bordner is a dedicated husband, and the father of two children. His hobbies include traveling, swimming, and skiing.

Legislative Associate
Legislative Associate and Governmental Relations Consultant to Foley and Company, Government and Public Affairs. Primary focus has been on the representation of companies and municipalities in their efforts to receive federal funding from the Departments of Education, Justice, Interior and Defense. Primary role has been one involving the targeting of federal funds, the creation and processing of appropriations requires forms, and the development of legislative support for appropriations efforts.

Political Science instructor teaching courses in Public Management and Policy, as well as Leadership for Public Service, at the California State University, Fullerton. The Public Management courses involve Public Administration, Organizational Theory, and Public Policy. The courses on leadership critically examine major theories of effective leadership and allows students to identify their own perspectives on the topic. These courses are offered for undergraduate students and are cross-listed under both the Departments of Political Science and Criminal Justice.
