Awful
I will reiterate all the negative reviews. Professor Gonzalez is horrible. He doesn't care how much work you've done if you don't write what he wants to hear. And nothing is subject to interpretation. All this must correspond to what he thinks.
Wesleyan University - Languages
Professor of Spanish
I teach all areas of Spanish literature from the Enlightenment to the present. In my teaching and research, I focus especially on the performing arts in relation to other forms of cultural expression. I am particularly interesting in the relationship between the performing arts and migration, borders, identity formation, interculturalism and collective (historical) memory. I am currently working on a book-length study of the relationship between poetics and politics in the writings and artistry of Spain's premier, avant-garde era stage director, Cipriano de Rivas Cherif.
Director of Global Studies
The proposal I submitted in 2014 for our new Fries Center for Global Studies was approved by Wesleyan's Board of Trustees in 2015. I was asked to implement this proposal, which was centered primarily on integrating four different offices: Study Abroad; Fellowships, Internships, and Exchanges; the Language Resource Center; and Languages and Intercultural Learning. We coordinate the work of these offices in order to advance the knowledge, language and intercultural skills, self-awareness, and empathy our community needs for responsible participation in an increasingly interdependent world.
