Awful
Professor Laganowsky is funny. He let us out early and did experiments for us. However, he made us memorize difficult equations and did not include those in the exams, making the exams harder. Also, a lot of homework was given that was not taught and isn't found on the exams either.
Awesome
Professor Laganowsky provides practice exams. Make sure to study those because they are very helpful. The class consists of four exams and a final. He drops the lowest exam, so it's actually not too bad. For attendance, he uses IClicker and will give you full credit if you're above 80%. On the other hand owl homework can be really time consuming. It can take up to ten hours to finish one assignment.
Good
Laboratory classes suck for this section, but to make it simple, he gives long homework (might take you 8+ hrs to accomplish) and requires attendance. Exams are basically the homework questions, class examples, and mirror images of the previous semester exams that he provided. He curves every exam including the final. He really makes the class do-able! My labmate actually got 110 on like two exams.
Good
CHEM 120 was a tough course, but Prof. Laganowski was the reason I got a B instead of a lower grade. His reviews were pretty similar to the exams. His exams were also much easier than the homework assignments. He's very soft spoken and he's occasionally rude at times, but if you can get past that, this class is definitely worth taking!!
