Awful

Setiawan is the worst. He can not hear but he is smart and knowledgeable! Perhaps he is too smart. He grades off his favorites. Be on time everyday and Do Not Miss a Class. I did that and still got a D. My advice is AVOID taking him if possible! Every test/quiz in form of essay.

Good

Setiawan is very knowledgeable, there is a lot of work involved. Class was tough. You learn a lot.

Poor

Professor Setiawan has a strong accent, and it is hard to understand most things he says. He doesn't give clear instructions. He will make you do the same assignments like five times just for fun. He's rude and doesn't care about hurting our feelings. Also, he doesn't care about work in other classes you take. In my opinion, he is not a good professor.

Awesome

I had Professor Setiawan for Studio two, and I learned so much form him! He is very knowledgeable, and he takes time to help students as long as he can see that they are hardworking. He has high expectations producing a lot, but your craft quality and time management skills will be greatly improved.

Poor

Prof. Setiawan's ARCH1000 class had me anxious all sem because the whole class failed almost all test and pop quizzes, but everyone actually ended up being fine. You'll do fine as long as you work really hard on essays and exercises.
