There are 2 exams, a group project, a group presentation, one writing assignment, and seven take home quizzes in the class. You must attend the classes. The lectures are engaging and interesting. Participating is important to your grade. He gives straight forward exams, and he also gives an exam review. Great Professor overall, definitely recommended!

Professor Horky won teacher of the year as a result of his being so excellent this semester. If you take his class, I guarantee you will learn something. Even though he's tricked on attendance. For each chapter there is a quiz, two papers, and two exams.
