Murphy
Greater New York City Area
I am an Associate on the Real Estate team in the New York office of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP.
Associate
I represent financial institutions, developers, and owners in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions.
Legal Intern
I was an intern in the DOJ's International Trade Field Office, which is part of the Commercial Litigation Branch of the Civil Division. I performed legal research, reviewed documents, observed courtroom proceedings, and generally assisted Attorneys in different aspects of litigation as they represented the United States, its departments and agencies, and federal officials in cases concerning the classification and valuation of imported merchandise, collection of duties and penalties, and interpretation of trade-related orders and agreements.
Legal Intern
As a member of Fordham Law School's Prosecution Clinic, I drafted accusatory instruments and motions, delivered papers to the court, practiced making opening statements, helped mentors prepare for hearings, watched trials, and interviewed victims and witnesses.
Summer Associate
I spent my summer at Hunton exploring interests in different practice areas, including Real Estate, Privacy, and Litigation. I conducted due diligence for a real estate deal by reviewing title to identify potentially problematic easements and liens. I drafted privacy policy provisions, contributed to the firm’s Privacy Blog, and updated a chart summarizing each state’s data breach notification statutes and related guidance. I also participated in various stages of discovery by responding to requests, corresponding with opposing counsel, creating a timeline reflecting events and exchanges, and arranging materials ahead of a deposition. At the end of the summer, I received an offer to return in the fall of 2018.

Major: International Political Economy Minors: Business Administration and Political Science
I attended Fordham on a scholarship.
