Awesome
Take Prof. Allen if you have to take a math class! Since I am a liberal arts major, I was worried about passing MATH 142 but Prof. Allen and her TA made me get a B! Math is definitely hard, but she made it bearable.
Awesome
If you're wondering if you should take her class, go for it! You wouldn't regret it. She genuinely cares about her students and she always has a great attitude. Depending on the class average, there is also a lot of curving.

Prof. Allen is awesome! She genuinely cares about her students. Unfortunately, I had to drop the class because I couldn't keep up with the material, but she did an amazing job of explaining it well. Over the summer, I will be taking another online class with her. She always made sure that her students did well and was always optimistic.
Awesome
I took Prof Allen's class fall 2019 and I loved it! She does great reviews to make sure that you are prepared for every exam. There is a quiz every week, but some are dropped. There is also extra credit opportunities on almost each test. She called everybody by name in my class of 90 students. She cares a lot about every one of her students' success.
Awesome
Professor Allen was easily one of my favorites. She was always available during office hours and truly cares about her students. Calculus is difficult, but she makes it easy to understand even if you don't go to her office hours for help. I would say that working on homework, grades, and WIR helps when studying for exams. Overall, an A is very achievable in her class.
Awesome
I'm not good at math. However, Professor Allen makes learning math a breeze. She's very caring and kind, and truly cares about her students as human beings. Also, she makes sure that everyone succeeds both inside and outside the classroom. I've never met such a wonderful teacher. Hands down the best math professor.
Awesome
She's outstanding. I last had Calculus AB back in high school and two years had gone by, so I was nervous. But she did an excellent job explaining things in a super clear way. It wasn't hard to get what she was teaching, and we had homework and a quiz every week. She even let us skip a couple of homework assignments and quizzes. Because of the pandemic, our class shifted to online and the final test was made optional.
