Prof. Paredes is hands down the best accounting professor you will have at TAMIU. He's a bit challenging but you will learn a lot. His notes are the best because he personalizes it. I did not actually read much because of his excellent notes received. Aside from that, be prepared to know exactly how to breakdown a problem and read carefully.

Gear up to learn all about accounting. He's a top-notch teacher and gives really helpful notes during lectures. All our homework is posted on Cengage. Also, you should be prepared for a quiz every single week. We have two big tests each semester and you definitely need to hit the books to get a good grade. He's great at responding to emails, too. The class does take up quite a bit of time, especially when it comes to finishing the lecture notes and homework. But I'd totally suggest going for his class.
