Prof. Matti is an amazing teacher but her lecture was definitely chaotic to me. She has a fast pacing in explaining things and I honestly struggled understanding what's going on. I would suggest for you to take the time to rework the questions she went over in class. However, she likes to give random EC which is really nice of her. She's also straightforward with her expectations.
Awesome
Dr. Matti was very understanding of her students needs, with our class being online, the class needed sometime to adjust. She always accepted suggestions, and is always accessible to help answer questions, she wants all of her students to excel. Although the material is more difficult, she makes sure it is doable.

Prof. Andrea's lectures feel lighter than exams. Sometimes, she tests you on things that were barely covered.
Awesome
No one's even allowed to talk about Professor Matti. Do you have a problem? Just email her or talk to her. I sent her lots of emails about different things and she never fails to respond. She listens and understands where her students are coming from. Just communicate with her, she's more than just a chemistry professor and she's very kind of heart.

I'm not gonna lie, Doctor Matti is not a bad teacher. However, sometimes she gets carried away with the material and expects you to know every detail in the exam. There's some material that she barely goes in depth in during lectures that will appear on the exam. So stay alert and try doing any extra practice, on every opportunity you get.
Awesome
Prof. Andrea is one of the greatest profs you'll ever have at Wayne State. I took her for 1040 and I'm also currently taking analytical online with her. She's very straightforward and accommodating. She made college bearable! I would highly recommend taking her. She's pretty cool!
Awful
Prof. Andrea isn't so accessible. She's very rude and disrespectful! Her exams are terrible!! She even said it was pointless to upload review work because no one makes use of it. She's very unclear with her expectations as well.
Awful
Doctor Matti seems kind during lectures. However, it's exactly the opposite during office hours and email. Her answers were brief and sometimes angry. She gave horrible online exams that didn't fit the analytical chemistry well. Also, there's no clear drop policy set out for exams. In addition, she's barely available outside the classroom for one to one meetings. It's a three hour class but she only does her lecture an hour per week.
Awesome
Honestly, I've never been great at chemistry. But let me tell you, this professor is easily the coolest teacher I've had. I was in her class during my first semester. And now, as a junior, she's still my top favorite among all my professors. If there are any negative comments about her, it's probably from students who didn't put in any effort in her class and don't like the grades they got.
