Andrea L.
Fernandez
Greater New York City Area
I have teaching experience in various disciplines, including college-level Spanish, world literature classics in English, and Latin American Studies. Since the fall semester of 2012, I have been an Adjunct Lecturer at Pace University, instructing Spanish 101 and 102 under the Modern Languages Department. As of the fall 2015 semester, I have co-taught a total of four courses in the Latin American Studies Department within the same institution (101, 150, 210 and 240). Since the spring 2014, I have taught at City College (Latin American literature and advanced composition for native speakers) and Baruch College (Spanish 101 and 102, Latin American culture, Great Works of Literature I and II in the English Department). My attention to detail, organizational and research skills, and ability to focus on and complete a project in a timely manner, have allowed me to surpass my previous supervisors and instructor's expectations. In 2013, I co-organized the 18th Annual Graduate Student Conference at my doctoral program, where I learned budgeting, event planning, and human resource management. Additionally, I have excellent faculty references, a background in customer service at jetBlue Airways, and native proficiency in English/Spanish grammar, reading and writing.

I’m a college professor of Latin American Studies. My purpose is smashing the box to educate outside of it. My first course, LATIN AMERICAN DIVAS went live on April 28, 2018.
