I am an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University. My research focuses on international and comparative political economy, market liberalization, domestic politics, economic development and stability. In my studies, I use formal theory and statistical analysis to ensure logical consistency and to evaluate my arguments.
I completed by Ph.D. in political science at the University of Michigan. Prior to attending U of M, I completed my Master's degree in International Relations with a focus on international political economy and development. Previously, I served as a Presidential Management Fellow at Voice of America, Press Secretary at the American Security Project, and Communications Director and Community Representative to Congressman Bob Filner (CA-51st).

Community Representative
• Develop contacts within the community and perform inter-governmental/business networking
• Process over 120 casework inquires at any given time and act as liaison to federal agencies
Press Secretary
• Develop comprehensive outreach plans and respond to media requests.
• Update website, draft press releases and op-eds, and maintain a current database of media contacts.
