Researched on highly efficient algorithms for surface mapping which work on 3D triangular meshes directly without parametrization. Highly vectorized codes are written in Matlab and its MEX library interfacing C
and then applied on intrinsic surface mappings and surface uniformization. Used Python to produced reusable and modular codes based on existing Matlab and C codes.

Designed algorithms using differential geometry to model shape changes in biological surfaces. This involves writing algorithms to compute geometrical quantities from 3D triangular meshes using Matlab. Registrations are computed to find the best correspondence between these surfaces minimizing distortions quantified by the Beltrami coefficients and differences in curvatures. Visualization is then produced by C++ with OpenGL for publication.
