Awful
Alesia Marketing Be sure to take this course IN CLASS. I watched all of her lecture videos, reviewed all of the e-book flashcards, and practiced all of the available practice/test problems, but I still got a 69. She had to give a 10 point curve for the last exam because everyone did so POORLY. Her exams have no relevancy to the practice problems! She doesn't care and she will not round up!!! Most of the seniors in the class failed and could not graduate with their class. Try to focus on the writing skills since that will be the deciding factor in your final grade.
Awful
This is an extremely difficult class. The tests are hard too. The tests are nothing like the practice quizzes on eCampus and Mindtap. All tests are proctored and you must pay for each one in order to take it. Even though I watched and read all the lectures and did all the practice tests and quizzes, I still had a hard time with the test.
Awful
Do not take Marketing with Alesia Troy. Her exams are very hard and you will not have fun taking her class. You will hate marketing.
Average
Some reviews about this prof are true, but I would disagree in some as well. The class has gone through a lot of changes over the past few semesters. Exams may be hard, but if you study hard and at least a week before, you might get a decent grade. Lecture videos are long and boring but it covers a lot on the test, so you really have to pay attention!
Poor
She is simply concerned with her job and is unconcerned about her students. Instead of the major idea, she tested on the tiniest details from her lecture videos. When Covid19 happened, she basically sent an email acknowledging that some people would not pass and that there was nothing she could do about it. Make sure you have everything you need to study.
Awesome
Doctor Troy's grades come from exams, a curriculum quiz, and research studies. Her exams were hard. The class is composed of 60% textbooks and 40% lecture videos. I took her class when Covid-19 happened. And I think, the students who did not pass did not study. They should have because the combined curve was over 30 points. I didn't pass a single test and still managed to have a C.
Awful
My biggest problem with Professor Troy's class is that it's very hard to get it right if you don't really care about it. The information is very dense and she tests in-depth concepts. She doesn't always discuss it in the lecture videos. The exams were hard too. On top of that, she gets bored easily with her big classes. Overall, she's a horrible marketing professor. I suggest you take someone else if you can.
Awful
I took Professor Troy's class during the pandemic. She just sent an email saying how hard this semester has been and most of the students are failing. However, she's not going to curve or even give bonus points. Also, your only grades come from six things, four of those were exams, which make up 90% of the points. I suggest you avoid her class.
Good
This is my second time taking this class and my first time with Doctor Troy. I'll be honest, this course is very difficult for those who were non-marketing majors. It requires extensive study and hard work throughout the semester. Just make sure you watch the lecture videos. Also, study hard for the exams and read if you think you don't need to. Overall, he's a very nice professor.
Good
If you want to do well in this class, you make sure you check out the Summaries and Terms at the end of each chapter. These are helpful. Also, watch all the lecture videos. Pay extra attention to any examples she gives in these videos. Taking the quizzes for every chapter is important too. And don't forget to study. If you're good with the terms, you'll be able to figure out when to use them easily.
