I assess student accomplishments and cumulative improvements, work to build cross-curricular connections, build lesson plans incorporating current events and popular media elements, and instruct students in the fundamentals of public speaking, with an eye on applying those skills to outside careers and engagements.

SEM1225 - Digital Dining and Viral Media (special topics seminar on the intersections between traditional domesticity and the digital sphere, personal branding, and social media tactics)
COM250 - Critical Issues in Social Media (explores how communication is facilitated by new technologies and the reciprocal relationship between culture and social media)
Additionally, as the Director of Oral Communication, I oversee the Oral Communication across the Curriculum program (part of the general education requirements at Hollins), including requesting, reviewing, and approving oral communication courses, faculty training, guest lecturing, and program assessment.
