Professor Vonarx is a great teacher that cares how you are doing in class. He goes out of his way to make sure everyone is understanding the material and will pass . I cannot emphasize how great a teacher he is!

Poor

Professor Vonarx doesn't really teach that much. He goes over a bit of the material and expects you to pick up the rest of Thermo on your own by reading the book. His exam and quizzes were open notes. So, watch Cal Poly Pomona thermodynamic youtube videos. Those will help you. If you need to take 470 don't take his class. Take Professor Amar Ravnesh for 370 and 470 instead.

Awesome

Vonarx is a wonderful professor, who is really concern for his students. I'm grateful I took the course with him. Thermo isn't an easy topic, and most of the students will not pass, however the grading is very reasonable. His exams are like the problems in class that he solves, he even goes through the earlier exams, which is extremely helpful.
