Prof. Williams' lectures were all about memorizing parts, functions, and facts, so there isn't much to say. Workload was very heavy though. I tried to interact with her during office hours and class, but she's quite cold. I wouldn't recommend taking a math class with her.
Good
Prof. Adrienne's class is a lot of work!!!! Pls trust the reviews here!!! Expect to spend 25+ hours a week on this class. Every monday, wednesday, and friday, reading guides, mastering anatomy, feedback quizzes, and activity quizzes are all due. We even have lab guides every sunday night. There's just really a lot of work!!!
Awesome
Professor Williams' class is a lot of work. This is probably the most I've ever done for a class at University of California Irvine. But, I loved her and her office hours were very helpful. The class is basically reading the book and memorizing and that's what anatomy is. So, I personally didn't mind the structure of the class. Overall, I think she did a great job and I would recommend her.
Awful
Wouldn't recommend this prof at all. Class was 95% self-taught. Lectures are simply filling out 6-11 page reading guides on your own with your only help coming from the textbook. Her reading guides are even due every MWF. We also had 4 midterms with oddly specific questions and 1 optional final.
Awful
Wouldn't recommend this class at all. I actually expected that I'd be able to handle this class well since I'm good at memorizing, but I was wrong. We had no lectures, so be prepared to read the book and teach yourself. It would honestly take you 20+ hours a week to go through the material. I actually spent more time in this class than all my other class combined.
Awful
We had no lectures in this class. I simply taught myself from a textbook. There are four midterms, two lab practicals, and an optional final, all of which are short answer questions and spelling really counts! Every other day, HW is due. Be prepared to allot 30 hours each week for this class. Exam questions do not seem to make sense at all. Prepare to memorize all 13 pages of each chapter's reading guide.

Williams
My PhD research is in the field of comparative animal physiology
specifically the changes in respiratory patterns in insects after laboratory selection for desiccation resistance. \n I taught full-time as a biology lecturer for several years
and say what you will about adjuncting - it allowed me to try multiple teaching techniques and see which maximized student interest and my own engagement in teaching. In 2006 I career-changed to biology education research as Co-Director of the HHMI-UCI Professor Program. I founded an \"in-situ\" TA training program that focused on active learning in discussion sections
and I learned how to conduct biology education research. \n My current research interests are improving teaching and learning in large-lecture courses and using technology to simultaneously improve learning in online and face-to-face courses. I love trying new teaching methods
and flipped UCI's introductory biology class in 2012 and 2013
and taught a Preparation for Introductory Biology MOOC via Coursera in Summer 2013.
