Poor
I'm currently taking Professor Jacobsen's rock history class online so that I would have enough credits to transfer and it was the biggest mistake I've made. This class is ridiculous. There were five to six quizzes a week, three assignments and lots of reading. She's really a tough grader too. I'm a full time student and at the same time I'm working. She is clearly way too passionate about this class and makes it very overwhelming.
Awesome
Professor Jacobsen legitimately loves what she teaches. She's very clear on what's expected of you in class and she gives you ample opportunities to resubmit assignments, retake quizzes, etc. If you don't understand something, she's willing to help you both inside and outside of class. She gives you a lot of extra credits as well. Perhaps she's the best professor ever.
Good
I would definitely take Jacobsen again, I enjoyed her, and she was very kind. The only thing I disliked was that she chose Limp Bizkit over Linkin Park (which is unethical).
Awesome
Professor Jacobsen gives tons of chances to earn extra credit, she also offers incredible feedback on assignments, and is ready to email or call you to assist if needed. She doesn't make it mandatory for you to respond to other students in discussion assignments. Allows all work to be turned in up to three days late for full credit, I have over 100% in her class.
